We’re delighted to have a new band in the Underused stable – Fever Dream have hooked up with us for 2012. We got in there just in time, as the Independent have them down as one of the bands of 2012. Hitting the ground running, we’ll have their single, “This Waste” coming out on all good digital outlets on 6 February 2012, followed by an album by the summer.
If you like noisy dreampop, wild guitars and stonking rhythms, you’re in for a treat.
And even better, there’s a single launch to go with it – Fever Dream, with Moustache of Insanity & Baanex, at The Others, Stoke Newington, London town, on Friday 3rd February. It would be a good idea to be there at the beginning… details here
STOP PRESS: first 20 through the doors will get a free download code for the single.. woohoo!
we were just packing up the shop for 2011, and discovered that orders placed had meant The Hillfields debut album, It’ll Never Be The Same Again, has now officially sold out – download only…
we’ve been a little quiet since the summer, when The Wyrd Interactions and Tiny Ruins & a Singer of Songs dropped a couple of delicious mini-albums into the world. We’ve been slowly sifting through some fine sounds, and will have a very special announcement to make in the new year about a new band joining Underused Records. They are fantastic, and your ears will be in for a brilliant treat in early 2012…
best wishes from us for the season and the coming year
Hi there.. just a quick note to say I am delighted to have been invited to play a lovely Christmassy acoustic gig, with Darren Hayman, at the Betsey Trotwood in Farringdon, on December 7th. I’m gonna do a couple of Hillfields/Wyrd Interactions/old songs and will be the opening act.
Darren Hayman / Enderby’s Room / Owl & Mouse complete the bill
As mentioned on www.thehillfields.com , the band are on a little geographical hiatus at the moment, with Carlos Hillfield back in his hometown in Argentina, the boys are busy working on other things. However, as a little holiday gift to you all you can download an chilled out version of “Down on you” from Rob Hillfield’s Soundcloud page ..
we’re very pleased to announce our next release here at Underused Records. it’s something very special – an international collaboration, both to make it and release it. the delightful talents of NZ-based Tiny Ruins has teamed up with our erstwhile Barcelona-based troubadour a Singer of Songs this summer to make “Little Notes”, issued by Underused Records in tandem with HiFive4LoFi. 6 beautiful songs in one beautiful package. this will make a perfect christmas for the aurally discerning.
we’ve just had confirmed a Singer of Songs will be conducting a mini-tour in Spain this summer. we strongly recommend, not only to catch Lieven in action, but also the rather amazin Tiny Ruins. consider yourselves notified.
